This month's challenge at Scrapbook Boutique is another delicious colour combination and while we are still some time away from Movember and the resultant removal of all those magnificent facial adornments, it's perfect timing for father's day which is just around the corner now we are reaching the week or so of August. My son will most likely be looking hopefully at me to provide a suitable card quite soon for this occasion, so I am one step ahead! Thanks SB :)
I chose at first just to go with the colour challenge rather than to incorporate the mo image...our male family members do not seem to keep their moustaches any length of time, but I found the gold bracket sticker while rummaging through my sticky box and decided to use it...it does remind me rather of a certain famous Australian country apparel maker's symbol, but hey, none the worse for that...rather it emphasises the masculinity if anything...
I really mixed up the fonts on this one, using some negative diecutting (there's that SSS "happy" again, but I really think that too much happy is an oxymoron!),
I used the PTI Modern Alpha dies for the white letters, some lovely shiny dotted brown sticker letters of unknown and ancient aetiology and some Tim Holtz sticker words to balance the design.
The black and white ribbon is a repurposed scrap from a clothing label and the cardstock is all PTI.
Thanks for having a squiz!
