Happy Weekend

I found this pretty card by Sue here in amongst the Scrapbook Boutique tutorials and I have made a couple of cards using her ideas. I don't seem to have captured Sue's clean look, I think I get a little heavy on the matting...
I do like the torn vellum sentiment strip and intend to try this using clear embossing and distress ink colouring...maybe watercolours would be good too...
I like this Hero Arts Large Flower stamp very much, while it is fairly neutral, it lends itself to a wide range of techniques. I made one for a friend once with perfect pearls which had a very oriental feel...might have to go there again as well. :)

This "miss you" card is for a dear friend who lives in Sydney, and now I am no longer living my peripatetic consultant's life, I am not able to see her very often and thought I'd better tell her that I miss her by sending her a card...its funny how often I make a card with someone in mind and then don't post it. This one is on it's way as I type...

This card is just a bright quickie for an acquaintance, but I did give it a glossy heart...

It's the Papertrey Ink Stamp-A-Faire this weekend...I am not participating this time round, maybe next year.

I am now off to demonstrate my leadership and delegation skills with some very reluctant gardeners, namely son #3 and TT...I need some planter tubs rejuvenated...wish me luck!
Have a nice weekend,

Di
