New Cards, New Techniques

Now I am working less I am finding more time to play with all the goodies in my craft room.
Here are some cards I have made in the past couple of weeks...I enjoy working on different techniques...also I'm trying to find my "style", I must have put it away in a safe place and now can't remember where  :)

I am quite "photodyslexic" (Just can't take photo's), so am working hard with the help of the team to fix that. I now have a light box (thanks so much Tim), a very swanky camera on a tripod (thanks Sarah for the loan and the instructions) and a workspace covered with lamps and cables, (thanks so much boys, I really needed that!), so I guess we should all expect great things in the near future as regards straight, up the right way, well lighted and focused images that is. (Please don't anyone hold their breath!).
Watch this space.

Here's the eclectic few I have posted for your critical review... ;)

An "awesome" engagement card for my nephew and his partner who have recently announced their engagement. Not a card I use very much these days, so I was a bit lost as to where to start then my daughter described a card she had seen on Pinterest, so thanks to whomever had this great idea...I wasn't able to find it to reference it more carefully. I think this design has promise...

I have been making quite a few smaller gift cards, trying different techniques and colour combinations (and using up the cardstock scraps...)

Here's my attempt at chalk boarding...I does look out of focus here, that is due to the slightly "off" stamping...doesn't look quite as migraine-inducing in fact.

I have a weakness for the Penny Black hedgies cute!

I really appreciate your comments, I'm quite new at this and don't have a crafty mentor (apart from all the brilliant you tubers out there) your comments are very valuable to me.

Thanks for calling by for a squiz...:)

  1. Your cards are ALL incredible...I enjoyed every one! :0)

    1. Thank you so much Marcia, for your comment. Di

  2. Ohhhh, you've been busy, and it looks like you've had fun creating. Bright, bold and beautiful with a touch of whimsy and a sprinkling of elegance... says to me you're an eclectic designer! (The best kind). and don't worry about pix, we're all in the same boat! You've definitely got a head start on the crafting beautiful cards part! Can't wait to see more!

    1. Thank you, Artful, for taking the time to have a look and make these kind IS fun!

  3. WOW!!! So many great designs! LOVE your cards! TFS!

  4. Lots of lovely cards ,all very different . I do have a favourite ,second up from the bottom - pink card base with flowers -so pretty.
Now ,about the pics - I use a super camera the missing link is me - I find it all too difficult -the manual is not simple enough for my feeble brain ,lol .My pics are always wonky and the camera does lie when it fails to show the true colours I've used.
    Have a great weekend.
