Life & Love

The new Annabelle stamp challenge is on (Link here), with the truly reckless title of Splash It On!
What fun, I immediately thought of large sheets of butchers paper, painting smocks, pots of acrylic paint and long handled paint brushes...oh for the carefree abandon of childhood and those lovely kindergarten easels that seems so large back then...OK...back to real time here.

Considering the challenge, I have made a card for a young friend who has just begun to sadly face the hard realities of life as it is lived apropos previously untested romantic and sentimental ideals...

The card doesn't look at all "splashed" and I'm not too happy with that aspect, but I do have the inky fingers to prove that the original piece of white watercolour paper has been well saturated, both before and after the clear embossing. I just may have to have a second crack at splashy abandon before the month is out.

I thought that the annabelle stamp set "Splat Attack" was perfect for this card, and I used several of the images. I also used the very useful line background stamp from BBD5.

Thanks to Annabelle stamps for posting the challenge, always fun.
