Scrapbook Boutique September Challenge

The September challenge at SB (Link Here) started some little while back. The challenge photographs are always so delicious that they are very hard to resist.
This morning I thought I'd better think about a card for this challenge as time is passing and as paper piecing is definitely not a favourite pass-time of mine I thought I might just have a go at it.
It also gave me a good excuse to sit quietly while the sail past of the tall ships was on this morning to Government House. It has been a very changeable day, gusty winds, sun and occasional rain showers, but a wonderful spectacle on the river for all that.
Here is my card, a bit earthy looking maybe, but as some others have mentioned during this challenge, yellow is not a colour I have much stock of, either in papers or inks.
Once again, the photography doesn't do justice daughter has fiddled with the camera settings for me, and the lighting, adjusting things so that the white light of the flash will add brightness to the shots. Very sadly I forgot to ask her just how I access the flash...ho time she visits it WILL be sorted...
Product Used:
Papers: Various scraps of Graphic 45, PTI Lemon Yellow, Summer Sunrise & Kraft card stock
Inks: PTI Avocado Green, Versafine Onyx Black, Copic Multiliner SP BS
Glues: Glue Arts tape, Zig Glue pen, SU dimensionals
Stamps: PTI Daffodils (Sentiment), Year of Flowers (Small Daffodil).
Others: Annabelle Stamps Sprinkles, Zig Wink of Stella, Brown tiny twine - from my grandmothers sewing box, W & J Knox Ltd. Milton Sewing Thread.
Bye for now,
PS...I completed a second card for this challenge because I thought that I needed to get the whole thing closer to the colouring of the inspiration photograph, but just can't get the photo colouring right... I'm not going to post it in the challenge but here it is anyway...please note...more Annabelle stamps sprinkles...I'm insinuating them into everything lately!

  1. Another beautiful card Di! I'm with you on the photography front, sometimes it takes me longer to sort the photos than it does to make the card lol.... but I think I'm getting better, still heaps of room for improvement though.
